The first round of the 2024 season has been fished at the fabulous Oaks Fishery, Sessay on the Sycamore pond. A hard overnight frost set up the day to be a difficult one, and so it was for most. Cold wind and heavy rain spoiled the afternoon. The fishing was slow for everyone, the fish would come in spurts and back off fairly quickly. Changing baits frequently to fool the fish and presentation was key to catching anything at all.
